GF82.70-P-0005-03R Telephone (cellular Mobile Telephone Network) Cellular Mobile Telephone Subscriber To Cellular Mobile Telephone Subscriber
- with CODE (388) Telephone "Handy", UPCI system
Component Identification:
Cellular mobile telephone subscriber to cellular mobile telephone subscriber
Cellular mobile subscribers (A) and (B) have registered in the cellular mobile telephone network outside of the reception range of their (home) mobile switching centers (MSC). They are then registered in the most favorably located base transceiver station (BTS)and base station controller (BSC) in the closest (external) MSC and are registered in the home location register home location register (HLR) there. The (external) MSC automatically connects to the responsible (home) MSC (MSC, A is not shown) and informs it of the current locations of the subscribers. The location of each cellular mobile telephone subscriber is then registered in both MSCs. If a cellular mobile telephone subscriber (A) wants to establish a call to cellular mobile telephone subscriber (B), he enters the telephone number.
Based on this number, the location of cellular mobile telephone subscriber (B) can be determined by his (home) MSC. With the information on the location, the system then transmits the call from cellular mobile telephone subscriber (A) to cellular mobile telephone subscriber (B) via the most favorable communication path. The system also automatically searches for the most favorable communication path during a call in order to minimize transmission losses.
The communication path is thus divided along the following mobile network path:
^ Cellular mobile telephone
^ Base transceiver station (BTS)
^ Base station controller (BSC)
^ Mobile service switching center (MSC)
^ Mobile service switching center (MSC B)
