GF80.61-P-2010RA Lock, Function
- with CODE (889) Keyless Go

Component Identification:

Function requirements
^ Circuit 15C OFF
^ A transmitter key is located within a radius of approx. 1 m around the Keyless Go antennas.

Function sequence when locking a door
When the left door push contact (S47s2) on the left door actuator or the right door push contact (S48s2) on the right door actuator is read in by the Keyless Go control unit, which then wakes up the transmitter key via the left door Keyless Go antenna or right door Keyless Go antenna and requests it to transmit its access authorization code.
This authorization code is received by the rear Keyless Go antenna and is relayed to the EIS control module via the Keyless Go control unit.

If the access authorization code is valid, the EIS control unit transmits the "Lock" command to the PSE control unit which then completely locks the vehicle.
If an attempt is made to lock the vehicle as long as the transmitter key is not located outside the vehicle or one of the door is still open, the vehicle cannot be locked. An error message is indicated in the instrument cluster (A1).
Successful locking is signaled by the hazard warning system flashing briefly three times.

If the trunk lid is open when locking a door, only the doors are locked.Visual feedback is not performed. If the trunk lid is then closed, it is also locked followed by visual feedback.

Convenience closing
The function sequence for comfort closing is initially the same as when locking a door
If the push contact is held for a longer period of time, any windows open and the Vario roof are closed.
When the button is released, the procedure is discontinued and can be resumed by actuating again.
If an obstacle or pinching is recognized by the user during comfort closing, the function can be interrupted by pulling a door handle once (actuating left door pull contact microswitch (S47s1) or right door pull contact microswitch (S48s1)). The windows are then opened slightly.

Function sequence when locking trunk lid (only vehicles up to 31.8.06)
Actuation of the trunk lid Keyless Go button is read in by the Keyless Go control unit, which then wakes up the transmitter key via the left trunk lid Keyless Go antenna and requests it to transmits its access authorization code.
This authorization code is received by the rear Keyless Go antenna and is relayed to the EIS control module via the Keyless Go control unit.
If the access authorization code is valid, the EIS control unit transmits the "Lock" command to the PSE control unit which then completely locks the vehicle.
Successful locking is signaled by the hazard warning system flashing briefly three times.
