Function sequence
Actuation of the trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8) is read in by the PSE control unit (combined) (A37).

The signal is relayed to the Keyless Go control unit (N69/5). The Keyless Go control unit (N69/5) requests the transmitter key to transmit its access authorization code via the rear bumper Keyless Go antenna (A2/31) A8/1.

The access authorization code is relayed to the Keyless Go control unit via the right antenna amplifier module (A2/65) and the overhead control panel control unit (N70) N69/5 The Keyless Go control unit (N69/5) checks whether the transmitter key (A8/1) is authorized for the vehicle. A corresponding message is then transmitted to the EIS control unit (N73). The EIS control unit (N73) checks the authorization code and transmits the command "Unlock trunk lid" to the PSE control unit (combined) (A37). This opens the trunk lid.
