The adapter wiring harness (1) must be routed and fixed in place in such a way as to prevent vibration and damage. The connection (x) to the multi-terminal block (5) must be in a location that allows the surrounding components to be removed and installed at any time without problems. Insulate live multi-terminal block (5).

1 Insert connector (2) of adapter wiring harness (1) into radio module connector (3).
Ensure that the connector (2) engages properly.
Only for vehicles with AUX jack

2 Remove existing connector of AUX jack from module connector and strap down.

All vehicles

3 Connect adapter wiring harness (1) to wiring harness (4) of cigarette lighter.
Use multi-terminal block (5) to make connection.

4 Connect black/red line of adapter wiring harness (1) to black/ green line of cigarette lighter wiring harness (4) and brown line of adapter wiring harness (1) to brown line of cigarette lighter wiring harness (4).






5 Remove plug 2 from the module connector, detach pin 13 from the plug's contact cavity 2 (refer to arrow) and install in contact cavity 1 of plug 1.9. Insert pin 1.7 into contact cavity in plug 2 that is now empty.
6 Route adapter wiring harness (1) with connector (6) in rear area of radio installation opening in direction of air vent installation opening.

Connect TMC receiver
If present.






7 Disconnect antenna plug (7) from radio (A2).
8 Connect antenna plug to TMC receiver (9) "IN".
9 Connect provided antenna cable (8) to TMC receiver (9) "OUT" and radio (A2).
10 Connect TMC receiver (9) to adapter wiring harness (1).
11 Store TMC receiver (9) in rear area of radio installation opening.
