AR68.20-P-2000P Remove/Install Center Console











1 Remove ashtray housing (1) from front center console
2 Unscrew screws (4) from ashtray housing tunnel

See "Special Tool - Torx bit set" given below.

3 Unclip covers (5) at side of ashtray housing tunnel remove
4 Turn screws (6) for arresting pins approx. 1/2 turn

See "Special Tool" given below.

5 Open cover on stowage compartment
6 Remove cup holder
7 Remove stowage compartment (11)

NOTE: Lightly press in stowage compartment from outside and pivot out toward side

8 Unclip catch lugs (7) and press cigar lighter away toward rear
9 Disconnect Cigar lighter (9) connector
10 Unscrew screws (8) from shift console

CAUTION: Replace self-locking screws.

NOTE: On transmission 722.6 Adjust shift rod

11 Unlock center armrest, position in vertical direction
12 Remove carpet insert in stowage compartment
13 Unscrew screws (10)

14 Remove center console (3) toward rear
15 Reinstall in opposite order
