GF91.29-P-2014PP Easy Entry, Driver Seat, Function

- with CODE (275) Electrically adjustable driver seat, steering column and outside mirrors with memory
- with CODE (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory
- up to Model Year 8

1 Circuit status and memory block number
2 Door status
3 Adjust request
M27m1 Fore/aft motor
N10/2 Rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module
N32/1 Driver front seat adjustment control unit with memory
N73 DI control unit
S17/3 Left front door contact switch
CAN-B Controller area network bus, class B (interior compartment) (CAN B)

General information
In order to make it easier to enter and leave the vehicle, the steering column is moved upward and the driver seat backwards.
After getting in, the steering column, driver seat and outside mirror are moved to the driving positions last assigned with the transmitter key.

Adjustment of the driver seat is described below.

Function requirements
- Function in instrument cluster activated
- Driver seat normalized

Move to entry/exit position

Function
In the event of the following changes in status:
- transmitter key withdrawn or
- opening of driver door with circuit 15R ON or
- open driver door with circuit 15C or
- opening of driver door when transmitter key not inserted, the fore/aft motor (M27m1) is actuated by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) (driver seat in rear end position).

For this, the following information is scanned over CAN-B (CAN-B) and processed by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1):
- The EIS control unit (N73) sends the circuit status,
- The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) sends the status of the left front door contact switch(S17/3),
- Instrument cluster sends "easy entry/exit activated".

During the "easy entry/exit" function the "head restraint presetting" function (only United States Of America and Japan ) is not performed.

Function abort
- Adjust request for seat or steering column
- Change of circuit 15 OFF in circuit 15C, circuit 15R or circuit 15
- Close driver door at circuit 15

Move to drive position

Function
In the event of the following changes in status:
- No circuit -> circuit 15C (with driver door closed),
- Circuit 15C -> circuit 15R (with closed driver door),
- Circuit 15R -> circuit 15 (with closed driver door),
- Closing of driver door with circuit 15 ON.

the fore/aft motor (M27m1) is actuated by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1).

The driving position is stored in the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) for each key.
The transmitter keys are managed with the aid of the memory block number. The memory block number is issued by the EIS control unit (N73).

Abort conditions
- Missing function requirements
- under- or overvoltage
- Adjust request (memory or manual)
- Circuit change
- Driver door opened with circuit 15C with circuit 15R

Repeat limiter for easy entry/exit function
Repeatedly inserting and removing the transmitter key causes the equipment to move between the easy entry/exit positions and the driving positions every time.
To prevent this, the number of cycles is limited to 5. The counter is reset, when the following prerequisites are fulfilled:
- C. 15R ON and
- The status of the driver door is changed.
