Risk of breakage. Do not kink fiber optic cable, and do not route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optic cable and do not compress with clamps or cable ties.






1 Push catch tab (arrow) of Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) wiring harness outwards and pull black, 2-pin MOST coupling (14) of fiber optic cable module (8) out of MOST coupling housing (11).






2 Unclip blue retaining clip (15) from black 2-pin MOST coupling (14).
It must be ensured that the fiber optic cable module (8) is installed in contact cavity 1 (input) (arrow). If this is not the case, install fiber optic cable module (8) from chamber 2 in chamber 1.






3 Push catch tab (arrow) of second MOST wiring harness outwards and pull black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13) of fiber optic cable module (9) out of MOST coupling housing (12).
The MOST coupling housing (12) is no longer required.






4 Unclip blue retaining clip (16) from black 2-pin MOST coupling (13).
It must be ensured that the fiber optic cable module (9) is installed in contact cavity 1 (input) (arrow). If this is not the case, install fiber optic cable module (9) from contact cavity 2 in contact cavity 1.






5 Install fiber optic cable module (9) into contact cavity 2 (output) of black, 2-pin MOST coupling (14).
Fiber optic cable module (9) must latch audibly.

6 Install blue retaining clip (15) into the black 2-pin MOST coupling (14).
7 Clip black 2-pin MOST coupling (14) into MOST coupling housing (11).
MOST coupling housing (11) will be connected to the CD player with changer (in glove compartment) later.






8 Install fiber optic cable module (8) into contact cavity 2 (output) of black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13).
Fiber optic cable module (8) must latch audibly.

9 Install blue retaining clip (16) into the black 2-pin MOST coupling (13).
Black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13) is connected to the radio later.






10 Attach felt strips (20, 21) to the MOST wiring harness according to dimensions.
Dimensions:
A =75 mm
B =70 mm
C = dia. 140 mm






11 Route fiber optic cable modules (8, 9) with black MOST coupling housing (11) from the radio recess into the glove compartment through the cutout.






12 Install black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13) from fiber optic cable module (8, 9) into black, 36-pin radio coupling (1).
