Light warning function sequence for manually switched on standing or driving lights
Basic prerequisite:
- The electronic transmitter key (A8/1) is located in the EIS (EZS) control unit (N73).
- The rotary light switch (S1s1) of the light switch module (S1) is set to the "Standing lights ON" or "Driving lights ON" position.
- The following signals have been sent to the instrument cluster (A1) via the CAN interior: "Circuit 15R ON", "Standing lights ON" and "Left front door closed".

1 The electronic transmitter key (A8/1) is removed from the EIS (EZS) control unit (N73).
2 The left front door is opened:
The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) detects an open door through the left front door contact switch (S17/3) signal and forwards the "Door opened" signal to the instrument cluster (A1).

3 The instrument cluster (A1) records the altered signal situation and triggers the acoustic light warning with warning buzzer (A1h1), because the "standing lights On" signal from the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) is still pending.

Light warning function sequence after automatically actuated driving lights

Basic prerequisite:
- Engine at standstill, circuit 61 is switched off.
- The electronic transmitter key (A8/1) located in the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) is in position "Circuit 15c".
- The rotary light switch (S1s1) of the light switch module (S1) is in the "Auto" position.
- The following signals have been sent to the instrument cluster (A1) via the CAN interior: "Circuit 15R ON", "Standing lights ON" and "Left front door closed".

1 The left front door is opened:
The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) detects an open door through the left front door contact switch (S17/3) signal and forwards the "Door opened" signal to the instrument cluster (A1).

2 The instrument cluster (A1) detects the altered signal situation and actuates the acoustic light warning with warning buzzer (A1h1), because the "standing lights ON" signal from the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and the "circuit 15R ON" signal from the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) are still pending.
