Lockup recognition

In each case a Hall sensor is located on the fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1) and height adjustment up/down motor (M20m2).

Lock-up is detected, if despite an adjustment request, a position change of the steering column is not detected by the Hall sensors.

Anti-lock device

In the event of lock-up of the fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1) or height adjustment up/down motor (M20m2) during a triggered adjustment function or during the adjustment of a stored position, the corresponding motor is switched off after approx. 2 seconds.

Switching on again is only possible after approx. 2 seconds in the same adjustment direction and is possible immediately in the opposite adjustment direction.
