- with CODE (273) Provision for D-network handy telephone
- with CODE (354) CTEL antenna (GSM 900 and 1800 MHz)
1 Expose VDA connection for telephone handset (A34) and CTEL separation point (X39/37) in the radio recess.
2 Connect connection coupling (8) to the interface (4).
3 Connect antenna for telephone handset (A34).
4 Connect VDA connection line (5) to interface (4) and CTEL separation point (X39/37).
The interface is then routed in the region of the knee bolster under the glove box.
5 Expose existing separation point for hands-free system microphone (B25) behind the overhead control panel and connect the microphone (6).
6 Stick the microphone (6) to the mirror base with double-sided adhesive tape (included in the parts kit) as shown in the figure.
Align microphone with reception opening to driver.
7 Connect all control and operating modules and connect battery for the function check of the telephone.
Avoid error message by control modules not connected.
8 Insert test portable CTEL in the portable CTEL mount (1) and adjust the microphone sensitivity at the "Micro" adjusting screw (arrow) of the interface (4).
Adjust so that feedback and whistling noises are not audible and volume is optimized while speaking and listening
9 Disconnect the battery again.
10 Push in the interface box (4) and connection lines between the glove box and instrument panel as shown in the figure and fix in position with double sided adhesive tape.
Securely adhere the connection lines with adhesive felt
