GF82.61-P-4003QN Dynamic Route Guidance, Function
- with CODE (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio
Position finding involves calculating the vehicle's current position. This function is activated when the driver's door is opened or when circuit 15R is on, and is carried out by the navigation processor of the radio and navigation unit (A2/56). During the switch-on phase the software is loaded and only the basic position finding is available.
With "circuit 15C ON" all the important positioning parameters are stored during a run-on time of 30 minutes.
Continuous position finding employs three procedures, which mutually supplement one another and thereby guarantee very accurate and reliable position finding.
These methods are:
^ Basic position finding
^ Map-based position finding
^ Global positioning system (GPS) position finding
The position of the vehicle can be entered manually using the radio and navigation unit (A2/56). This may be useful after the vehicle has been transported if there was no GPS reception at the start of the journey.
