AZ82.70-P-0005-02QQT Retrofit Hands-Free System Wiring Harness
- with CODE (273) Telephone preinstallation for portable CTEL (non-networked) VDA wiring
- except CODE (386) Preinstallation for "portable CTEL" UPCI telephone system
Component Identification:
1 Connect coupling for ICANI control unit (14) of wiring harness for ICANI control unit (4) to ICANI control unit (2).
2 Connect coupling for ICANI to FSE11 (20) of wiring harness for ICANI control unit (4) to interface FSE11 (3).
The ICANI coupling to FSE11 (20) is coded and only fits into one place.
3 Fasten plug for adapter wiring harness (11) as shown to vehicle's on-board wiring harnesses so that they do not scuff or rattle.
The plug for the adapter wiring harness (11) is not required.
4 Connect the coupling to interface FSE11 (15) of the adapter wiring harness preinstallation (5) to interface FSE11 (3).
5 Route adapter wiring harness for VDA preinstallation (5) as shown to center console.
6 Route wiring harness for ICANI control unit (4) into cable duct up to under the center console and fasten in place together with vehicle's on-board wiring harnesses so that they do not scuff or rattle.
The adapter wiring harness for VDA preinstallation (5) is fastened later to the telephone console connecting cable with PSC adapter in the vicinity of the center tunnel using self-adhesive felt and then fastened in place together with the vehicle's on-board wiring harnesses so that they do not scuff or rattle
7 Route wiring harness for ICANI control unit (4) into cable duct under the center console to the left and the ground (left front seat crossmember) (W18) and then fasten in place together with the vehicle's on-board wiring harnesses so that they do not scuff or rattle.
8 Connect branch-off line for ground (left front seat crossmember) (W18) of the wiring harness for the ICANI control unit (4) to the ground (left front seat crossmember) (W18).
9 Connect multimeter to brown/red line (br/rt) of radio coupling (A2).
10 Detach voltage distributor (CAN) connector (X30/7) from cable duct, open and remove all 2-pin, black couplings with brown/red and brown lines.
11 Check continuity of each brown/red line of 2-pin, black couplings using a multimeter to the brown/red line of the radio coupling and connect the 2-pin, black coupling in which the brown/red line is connected to the brown/red line of the radio coupling with the radio plug CAN (10).
12 Install 2-pin, black couplings with brown/red and brown lines that are not connected to the brown/red line of the radio coupling to a socket in the voltage distributor (CAN) connector (X30/7).
13 Install the coupling for the voltage distributor CAN (9) of the wiring harness for the ICANI control unit (4) to a socket in the voltage distributor (CAN) connector (X30/7) and close the voltage distributor (CAN) connector (X30/7).
14 Remove green radio 'mute' plug distributor (X30/12) from cable duct and connect with green radio mute coupling (8) of wiring harness for ICANI control unit (4).
15 Insert radio 'mute' plug distributor (X30/12), voltage distributor (CAN) connector (X30/7) and wiring harness for ICANI control unit (4) into cable duct and fasten together in place with vehicle's on-board wiring harnesses so that they do not scuff or rattle.
16 Route voltage supply connection (40) of wiring harness for ICANI control unit from driver footwell to left fuse and relay box on the instrument panel along the vehicle's on-board wiring harnesses and connect the voltage supply connection (40) to socket 40 and then fasten in place together with vehicle's on-board wiring harnesses so that they do not scuff or rattle. Connect fuse carrier on socket 40 with 7.5 A fuse.
17 Expose strapped down vehicle's on-board VDA coupling (26) in the center console and connect with the plug for VDA preinstallation (16) of the adapter wiring harness for VDA preinstallation (5).
The excess length of the adapter wiring harness for VDA preinstallation (5) is strapped down later together with the excess length of the telephone console connecting cable with PSC adapter in the center console and then fastened together with the vehicle's on-board wiring harnesses so that they do not scuff or rattle
