Map-supported map matching, function
Map-based position finding is only available in the digitized area of the Compact Disc (CD) map. Any deviation can be recognized and corrected automatically by comparing the calculated position of the vehicle with the CD map.

The position of the vehicle is monitored continuously on the CD-ROM map by the navigation processor of the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3). In the event of deviations in the course traveled from the calculated route, the position coordinates of the basic location finding will be corrected.
