AR88.70-P-9040Q Remove/Install Outside Mirror Cover












1 Remove mirror glass
2 Remove auxiliary turn signal lamp
3 Unlock front paneling catch lugs (5).
- See Special Tools below

4 Loosen front paneling (3) from outside rearview mirror
5 Fold outside rearview mirror toward inside.
6 Remove front paneling (3) from outside real-view mirror

NOTE: Increased resistance when removing in area of guide, danger of breakage!

7 Unscrew screws (6)
8 Unlock catch lug (7).
9 Unlock arresting lug (8) and press off toward rear (arrow).
10 Remove rear paneling (2).
11 Unscrew screws (1) and remove outside rearview mirror
12 Unclip couplings (10) from base body (11) and expose wiring harness (15).
13 Unscrew dowel pin screw (9) and remove base body (11).

NOTE:
Fastening parts: dowel pin screw (9), spiral spring (12) and washers (13).

14 Pry retaining ring (14) off of pin (19).

NOTE:
Installation: Check retaining ring (14), replace if necessary.

15 Pull out wiring harness (15) through opening (16).
16 Unclip inner paneling (4) from catch points (17).

17 Remove aluminum flange (18) from inner paneling (4).
18 Install in the reverse order
