AN82.61-P-0001-06TXB Retrofit MOST Fiber Optical Cable Wiring Harness

AN82.61-P-0001-06TXB Retrofit MOST Fiber Optical Cable Wiring Harness

Component Identification:

1 Unclip cover (23) from fiber optical cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) in direction of arrow.
2 Remove dust excluder (24) from optical conductor connector sleeve (Z35/11) (dust excluder (24) is no longer needed).
3 Insert optical conductor connector sleeve (Z35/11) into fiber optical cable connector coupler (MOST) (X39/50).

Optical conductor connector sleeve (Z35/11) must be heard to latch in.

4 Clip cover (23) onto fiber optical cable connector coupler (MOST) (X39/50).

Component Identification:

Modification in left rear wheelhouse

5 Insert black, 4-pin connector (6) from the Auto Pilot System wiring harness (1) into black, 6-pin connector housing (8) from the MOST fiber optical cable wiring harness (7).

Connector housing (8) is from the audio gateway control unit (N93/1). There is an arrow on the side of the black, 4-pin connector (6). This corresponds to the direction of installation in the connector housing (8).

6 Connect black, 6-pin connector (8) to audio gateway control unit (N93/1).
7 Secure MOST fiber optical cable wiring harness (7) as per diagram on the left wheelhouse to existing wiring.

The green color coding on the MOST fiber optical cable wiring harness (7) must match the green color coding of the standard wiring harnesses (see arrow).

8 Continue routing MOST fiber optical cable wiring harness (7) in the left cable duct to the left front footwell.

Shown on model 211.2

Routing diagram for MOST fiber optical cable wiring harness (7)

9 Insert fiber optical cable connector coupler (MOST) (X39/50) in the cable duct to the left of the rear seat.

Risk of breakage: Do not kink fiber optical cable, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optical cable and do not compress with clamps or tie straps.

Shown on model 211.2

Component Identification:

10 Route MOST fiber optical cable wiring harness (7) from the left footwell cable duct along the parking brake cable (16) to the radio recess and secure.

11 Unclip cover (23) from the second enclosed fiber optical cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
12 Unclip blue retaining clip (26) from the black, 2-pin connector (27) of the standard wiring harness.

Connector (27) is provided in the radio recess.

13 Remove fiber optical cable module (27b) from chamber 2 of the black, 2-pin connector (27) of the standard wiring harness and install in the fiber optical cable connector coupler (MOST) (X39/50).
14 Unclip blue retaining clip (26) from the black, 2-pin connector (25) of the MOST fiber optical cable wiring harness.

Black, 2-pin connector (25) is from the radio.

15 Remove fiber optical cable module (25a) from chamber 1 of the black, 2-pin connector (25) and install in fiber optical cable connector coupler (MOST) (X39/50).
16 Clip cover onto fiber optical cable connector coupler (MOST) (X39/50).

17 Remove fiber optical cable module (25b) from chamber 2 of the black, 2-pin connector (25) and install in black, 2-pin connector (27).

Black, 2-pin connector (25) is no longer needed.

18 Clip blue retaining clip (26) into black, 2-pin connector (27).

Modification to the MOST connector for radio

19 Insert black, 2-pin connector (27) into enclosed black, 6-pin connector housing (8).
20 Insert black, 4-pin connector (6) from the Auto Pilot System wiring harness (1) into black, 6-pin connector housing (8).

There is an arrow on the side of the black, 4-pin connector (6). This shows to the direction of installation into the black, 6-pin connector housing (8).
