- with Media Oriented System Transport (MOST)

The following handling instructions must be followed during all repair work where fiber optical cable couplings are disconnected, otherwise the quality of the data transfer will be negatively affected because of attenuation of the light pulses that are transmitted.

^ The fiber optic cable protective covers on the device connection or the plug of the optical wiring harness must not be removed too soon during repair work.
^ Disconnected fiber optical cable couplings must be covered immediately.
^ Do not kink optical waveguide, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm.
^ Do not subject fiber optic cables to temperatures of greater than 85 °C or less than -40 °C.

The protective covers of the fiber optic cables on the device connection or the optical wiring harness plug are not available separately. The protective covers from built-in spare parts or clean rags can be used.
