Component Identification:

Location
The STH control unit is integrated in the STH heater unit, which is located in the front area of the right wheelhouse.

Task
The STH control unit controls the heating and ventilation functions of the STH heater unit and provides the preselected interior heating and ventilation.
The STH control unit is incorporated in the Controller Area Network bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B) so that data can be transferred.

The following procedures are controlled:
^ Stationary heating
^ Stationary ventilation

Control and voltage supply:
^ Glow pin unit flame monitor (A6r4)
^ Combustion air blower (A6m2)
^ STH fuel metering pump (Y23)
^ STH switchover valve (A6y1)

Discrete inputs:
^ Circuit 30
^ (Circuit 31)
^ STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1)

Emergency shut-off
If the temperature in the STH heater unit exceeds 125 °C, the STH heater unit is switched off.

Heating/ventilation duration
The heating time can be set using STAR DIAGNOSIS (default value 50 min). The ventilation time can be reduced in relation to the heating time (25, 50 or 75 %).
