AR68.80-P-5800TA Remove/Install Load Compartment Floor
- Load compartment floor does not function
- with CODE (943) Automatically extendable main loading floor
1 Fold load compartment floor (1) toward top
NOTE: See Operating Instructions
2 Unscrew screw (1) on left and right on load compartment floor (2)
3 Remove clips (3) and lower paneling (4) until the retainer (5) at the hydraulic cylinder (6) is accessible.
4 Lift retainer (5) at hydraulic cylinder (6) using a suitable screwdriver and remove hydraulic cylinder (6) at the ball head
NOTE: Installation: necessary move hydraulic cylinder (8) into installation position by actuating loading floor switch.
5 Install clip (3) (arrow) for securing paneling (4)
6 Disconnect ground cable of battery
7 Remove and disconnect electrical connector (7) at bracket (8)
8 Secure load compartment floor (1) by means of support against falling down
9 Lift retainer (9) using a suitable screwdriver and remove gas-operated strut (10) on left and right on load compartment floor (1)
CAUTION: Do not remove retainer (9), otherwise the initial tension of the retainer (9) is lost.
NOTE: Installation: Install gas-operated struts (10) with installed retainer (9).
DANGER:
- Injury hazard gas pressure struts are under high pressure and can pinch and crush body parts during work.
- Only remove/install gas-operated struts in the unstressed position and when the components are secured properly.
10 Remove support and lower load compartment floor (1)
11 Pull load compartment floor (1) toward rear until the bolts (11) are accessible and unscrew bolts (11)
CAUTION: Do not load load compartment floor (1), otherwise the load compartment floor (1) tilts at the rear.
12 Remove retainer (12) on pin (13) and remove pin (13)
13 Push load compartment floor (1) to the front and take out of load compartment
NOTE: Helper required
14 Install in the reverse order
15 Carry out function check of load compartment floor (1)
