AN82.61-P-0001-01T Retrofit Wiring Harness

AN82.61-P-0001-01T Retrofit wiring harness
- with CODE (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio
- except CODE (U36) COMAND preinstallation

1 Cut pink line (rs) of navigation processor wiring harness (1) as shown in the picture so that 30 mm of the pink line (rs) are left before the sleeving of the navigation processor wiring harness (1).

The cut-off pink line (rs) is no longer required.

2 Check chamber assignment of black 8-pin navigation processor connector (12):
- Chamber 1 brown line (voltage supply -)
- Chamber 2 red/white line (voltage supply +)
- Chamber 5 pink line (MOST wake-up line).

If the chambers are not correctly assigned, open black 8-pin navigation processor connector (12) and reconnect lines. Then close the connector again.

Component Identification:

3 Plug blue 2-pin voltage supply coupling (11) of navigation processor coupling into plug position 16 of the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

Plug position 16 is marked in blue.

4 Route the navigation processor wiring harness (1) as shown in the picture so that the blue length comparison marking (15) on the navigation processor wiring harness (1) lines up with the identically colored length comparison markings on the on-board wiring harnesses.
5 Connect pink line (rs) of navigation processor wiring harness (1) directly behind MOST connector housing (10) with potential distributor (16) to the pink line (MOST wake-up line) of on-board wiring harness for the audio gateway control unit (see enlarged detail).

Component Identification:

6 Unclip black retaining clip (7) (see enlarged detail) of GPS antenna line (6) from navigation processor wiring harness (1) (is no longer required).

7 Check whether the GPS antenna connector (A2/49a2x1) is present in the vehicle in the left of the luggage compartment as per picture. If this is the case, continue with operation step 8. If this is not the case, continue with operation step 9.
8 Vehicles with GPS antenna connector (A2/49a2x1)
- Disconnect GPS antenna connector (A2/49a2x1) in left of luggage compartment and strap down GPS antenna line (5) of Audio 50 APS from on-board wiring harness (is no longer required).

- Connect GPS antenna line (6) from navigation processor wiring harness to GPS antenna connector (A2/49a2x1) in left of luggage compartment.

9 Vehicles with GPS antenna splitter (A2/5)
- Disconnect both GPS antenna lines (5) from outputs of GPS antenna splitter (A2/5).
- Check both GPS antenna lines (5) leading to GPS antenna connector for Audio 50 APS in the center console for continuity using a multimeter.
- Strap down the GPS antenna line (5) for which continuity is present (is no longer required).
- Connect GPS antenna line (5) for which no continuity is present to red output (rt) of GPS antenna splitter (A2/5).

- Connect GPS antenna line (6) from navigation processor wiring harness (1) to black output (sw) of GPS antenna splitter (A2/5).

All vehicles
10 Route navigation processor wiring harness (1) as shown in the picture and fasten using cable ties (see arrow) to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) ensuring that it does not chafe or make any noise.

The navigation processor wiring harness (1) is routed and fastened in place after installation of the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
