AR82.60-P-0001-01TF Remove/Install Fiber Optical Cable Module For The Media Oriented System Transport (MOST)
- with CODE (527) COMAND APS (with navigation)
- with CODE (530) COMAND APS USA (with navigation system)


1 Expose the fiber optical cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) with the two fiber optical cable modules 13 and 14 in the left rear cable duct and unclip cover (36).
2 Remove the damaged fiber optical cable module 14 from the fiber optical cable connector (MOST) (X39/50), separate and strap down using insulation tape.










3 Install the new fiber optical cable module 14 in fiber optical cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) and clip cover (36) back on again.
4 Stow fiber optical cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) and the MOST fiber optical cable in the cable duct as per the guidelines.

Risk of breakage: Do not kink fiber optical cable, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optical cable and do not compress with clamps or tie straps.

5 Route the new fiber optical cable module (14) along existing lines in the left of the luggage compartment and fasten in place as per the guidelines.








6 Remove screw (35) and swivel navigation processor (N41/1) in bracket to one side until the connectors are accessible.
7 Route the new fiber optical cable module (14) along existing lines to the navigation processor (N41/1) and fasten in place as per the guidelines.

8 Detach connector (31) from navigation processor (N41/1).
9 Unlock connector lock (31) and pull out carrier (32).
10 Remove fuse (30) from carrier (32), unlock locks and remove damaged fiber optical cable module 14.
11 Cut off damaged fiber optical cable module 14 and strap down with insulation tape.
12 Install the new fiber optical cable module 14 in contact cavity 1 (input) of the connector for the navigation processor (N41/1).
13 Complete connector again and connect to the navigation processor (N41/1).







14 Swivel navigation processor (N41/1) with bracket back again and fasten with screw (35).
