GF80.20-P-4009T Automatic Locking, Function
GF80.20-P-4009T Automatic Locking, Function
Component Identification:
Function prerequisites
^ Speed greater than 3 km/h (trunk lid locked).
^ Speed greater than 15 km/h (doors are locked)
^ Automatic locking activated.
Operating procedure
The automatic locking function locks the vehicle centrally with the exception of the fuel filler flap as soon as the vehicle speed exceeds the threshold of approx. 15 km/h.
The EIS control module (N73) recognizes when the limit value is exceeded by evaluating the speed signal and transmits the "locking" command to the left front door control module (N69/1), right front door control module (N69/2), left rear door control module (N69/3), right rear door control module (N69/4) as well as to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) via the passenger compartment CAN bus. These activate the corresponding locking of the door locks and trunk lid.
If the vehicle is unlocked with the interior central locking switch and the ATA function display (N72/1s6) after automatic locking, the vehicle remains unlocked even at speeds above the limit value. The initial state is resumed by opening a door or by switching circuit 15 on and off again.
If, after automatic locking, a door is opened and closed again while the vehicle speed is above the threshold speed, this door is locked again after it is closed.
