AR68.40-P-0001T Remove/Install Inside Rearview Mirror

Shown On Model 211.0:

1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
2 Press rain/light sensor cover (2) off downward with assembly wedge and remove

See "Special Tools" given below.

3 Unclip mirror base cover (3) from overhead control panel control module (N70)
4 Disconnect electrical connector (4) from rain/light sensor
5 Pull inside rearview mirror (1) out of mirror mount by pivoting to the side on the mirror base and pulling simultaneously down

NOTE:
- Allow inside rearview mirror (1) to hang on wiring harness.
- Installation: Press spring bolt (9) together with pliers (arrow) and allow retainer to catch. Ensure that wiring harness is routed properly.

6 Unlock overhead control panel control module (N70) by actuating front pushbuttons (5).
7 Unlock overhead control panel control module by pressing off at side with assembly wedge.

8 Disconnect electrical connectors (6) of ribbon cables from overhead control panel control module (N70)

CAUTION: Carefully disconnect connectors (6) so that ribbon cables are not damaged.

NOTE: Number of electrical connectors (6) according to equipment.

9 Allow overhead control panel control module (N70) to hang down on wiring harness.
10 Disconnect electrical connector (8).
11 Disconnect electrical connectors (7) of inside rearview mirror (1) from overhead control panel control module (N70) and remove inside rearview mirror (1)

NOTE: Number of electrical connectors (7) according to equipment.

12 Install in the reverse order
13 Perform function check
