Function requirements

Function
The driver-side SAM control unit reads in the rotary light switch position and actuates the left front fog lamp.
At the same time, the front passenger-side SAM control unit receives the request for the right front fog lamp from the driver-side SAM control unit over CAN-B and actuates it.
The green front fog lamps indicator lamp in the rotary light switch visually indicates that the front fog lamps are switched on.
Rear fog lamp actuation
Function requirements:

Function
The driver-side SAM control unit directly reads in the rotary light switch position and forwards the request over CAN-B to the following control units:
^ Rear SAM control unit
^ Rear-end door control unit
^ Trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit
The yellow rear fog lamp indicator lamp in the rotary light switch visually indicates "Rear fog lamp On".
