Function requirements:
^ Portable CTEL (A34/6) connected via the portable CTEL separation point (X39/37) directly to the COMAND controller unit (A40/3)
^ Circuit 30, portable CTEL manually switched on using the portable CTEL On/Off button
^ Circuit 15R, portable CTEL automatically switched on by wake-up pulse
After the portable CTEL has been switched on the following functions can be used:
^ Lock code entry (if activated in portable CTEL) via the portable CTEL buttons or the center console button group (S148)
^ Voice control via the voice control system (VCS [SBS])
^ Placing telephone calls in hands-free mode
^ Display call numbers and caller IDs
^ Display reception status, roaming status and duration of call in the COMAND display (A40/8
^ Display the stored portable CTEL telephone numbers in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1) and select using the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) and the right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111)
^ Buffer stored telephone numbers from portable CTEL in address book of COMAND controller unit (only available if the portable CTEL is connected via the portable CTEL separation point)
^ Bluetooth
^ "Private Mode" over a Bluetooth headset or a handset with Bluetooth capability in the rear
Individual data items stored in the portable CTEL can be loaded into the memory of the COMAND controller unit.
If the portable CTEL has been switched on manually via circuit 30 using the portable CTEL On/Off button, it must also be switched off using the portable CTEL On/Off button. If the portable CTEL has been switched on automatically by a wake-up pulse with "circuit 15R ON", it is switched off when "circuit 15R OFF" status occurs.
