GF40.15-P-5123LE TPM [RDK] control unit, component description
- with CODE (494) USA version
- with CODE (475) Tire pressure monitor (premium)

Component Identification:

Location
The TPM [RDK] control unit is located in the passenger footwell.

Task
The TPM [RDK] control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of sensors and signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components

Reading in of sensors and signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)

Direct line
The following signals are read in via a direct line: by the central TPM [RDK] antenna (A2/97):
- Absolute pressure in tire
- Acceleration
- Temperatures in the tires
- Identification number for wheel identifier

Interior CAN
Signals are read in by the following control units via the interior CAN:
- Front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (/)N10/1
- Outside temperature
- EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
- Tml. 15 ON
- Central gateway control unit (N93)
- Country code
- Engine/body variant
- Diagnosis active
- Vehicle speed (from instrument cluster (A1))
- Wheel speeds (from ESP control unit (N47-5))
- Steering angle (from steering column tube module (N80))

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Actuation of components
Components are actuated with the following line:
^ Local Interconnect Network (LIN)

LIN
The following components are actuated via LIN:

Left front TPM [RDK] wheel antenna (A2/44)

Right front TPM [RDK] wheel antenna (A2/45)
