AR68.30-P-4800R Remove/Install Side Paneling In Trunk

1 Close Vario roof
NOTE: See Owner's Manual
DANGER:
- Risk of injury, Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.
- Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.
2 Position trunk lid in assembly position.
3 Remove retractable trunk partition
4 Remove trim panel of rear center section
5 Remove cover (3) of hazard warning triangle and take out hazard warning triangle (4)
- Only if left trunk paneling (1) is removed.
6.1 Unclip left cover (5) and remove
- Only if left trunk paneling (1) is removed.
6.2 Unclip right cover (6) and remove
- Only if right trunk paneling (2) is removed.
7 Separate electrical connector (7) from trunk partition "closed" limit switch (S69/10)
- Only if right trunk paneling (2) is removed.
- Access to the electrical connector (7) is accomplished via the assembly opening below the right cover (6).
8.1 Unscrew screw (8) and remove trunk partition mount (9)
- Only if left trunk paneling (1) is removed.
8.2 Unscrew screw (10) and remove trunk partition limit switch (S69/10)
- Only if right trunk paneling (2) is removed.
9.1 Remove left Y-arrest (15)
- Only if left trunk paneling (1) is removed.
9.2 Remove right Y-arrest (16)
- Only if right trunk paneling (2) is removed.
10 Detach expanding clips (11) and screw clips (12)
11.1 Loosen left trunk paneling (1) from trunk lid seal (13)
- Only when removing trunk paneling (1) on left
- Installation: Ensure that the trunk lid seal (13) is seated correctly.
11.2 Loosen left trunk paneling (2) from trunk lid seal (13)
- Only if right trunk paneling (2) is removed.
- Installation: Ensure that the trunk lid seal (13) is seated correctly.
12.1 Pull left trunk paneling (1) over support (14) and remove
- Only if left trunk paneling (1) is removed.
12.2 Pull right trunk paneling (2) over support (14) and remove
- Only if right trunk paneling (2) is removed.
13 Install in the reverse order
