- with CODE (404) Driver seat multicontour backrest
- with CODE (405) Front passenger seat multicontour backrest up to Model Year 8

Tasks of the multicontour seat control module are:
^ filling and emptying air in the multicontour backrest according to the requirements input by the multicontour backrest switch
^ controlling the dynamic lumbar support (function), triggered by the multicontour backrest switch
^ acquiring actual pressure values for the air cushions by piezo-resistive pressure sensors
^ creating status data logs on the cushion filling operations and sending these logs to the respective seat control module via a bi-directional, serial communication interface.

in conjunction with the memory feature :
^ Communication via the interface to the corresponding control module, in particular for storing and calling up stored seat positions,
^ Adjusting stored seat positions (pressure values) and the other adjustments when calling up the memory feature.
