- with CODE (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series"
Workshop level settings function sequence
Proceed as follows to access the workshop level:
- Close driver door
- Switch on circuit 15R
- Select basic menu display
- Press the instrument illumination brightness control and reset button (A1r1) three times within t = 1.5 s.
The left multifunction display (A1p13) then changes to the workshop level
The scroll forward/back button (S110s1) of the multifunction steering wheel can be used to scroll between the respective menus and submenus and in various lists.
The steering column tube module (N80) reads in the signals from the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) over the local interconnect network (LIN) and forwards them over the engine compartment CAN (CAN C) to the instrument cluster (A1).
The following information can be accessed:
- Voltage of on-board electrical system
- Data from instrument cluster (e.g. version numbers, software releases)
- Chassis number
- Dynamometer test mode
Switching on and switching off dynamometer test mode in the instrument cluster is necessary for the roller dynamometer so that no fault is entered in the ESP, SPS [PML] and BAS control unit (N47-5).
In dynamometer test mode, it is possible to switch between the settings "ON" and "With circuit 15R OFF" using the scroll forward/ back button. If the "ON" setting is selected, the dynamometer test mode picture is also shown even after a circuit change from circuit 15R OFF to circuit 15R ON.
If the "With circuit 15R OFF" setting is selected, then after a circuit change from circuit 15R OFF to circuit 15R ON a jump is made to the picture which was last active before the workshop level was accessed.
