Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

Remove/install fuel pump

Shown On Model 230.475:

DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from fuel igniting, risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel.
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
- Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

1 Dismount bracket (1)
2 Disconnect electrical connector
3 Pinch off fuel suction hose (53) and fuel delivery hose (64)
- See "Special Tools" given below.

4 Pinch off fuel inlet hose (53) and fuel delivery hose (64) at fuel pump (M3)

CAUTION: Installation: Replace hose clamps.

5 Remove fuel pump (M3)
- See "Fuel pump assembly overview" given below.

6 Install in the reverse order.
