GF54.10-P-2005GD DC/AC Converter Function
GF54.10-P-2005GD DC/AC Converter Function
Function requirements, general
^ Circuit 15R ON
The status of circuit 15 is sent by the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) to the interior CAN (CAN B).
DC/AC converter, general
Only small electrical devices that require a 115 V A/C voltage may be connected to the 115 V power outlet (X58/34). The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates the DC/AC converter control unit (N24/3) function.
Connecting a 115 V consumer to the 115 V power outlet is recognized by the microswitch power outlet (X58/34s1). The rear SAM control unit supplies the microswitch power outlet with power.
If a consumer is connected to the 115 V power outlet, this voltage is switched through to the control input for the DC/AC converter control unit. The DC/AC converter control unit converts the DC voltage of the on-board electrical system into a 115 V AC voltage. An LED integrated into the 115 V socket indicates the availability of AC voltage.
The maximum available electrical continuous load is P = 150 W, for a short-term up to P = 300 W is permissible for t = 2 s.
If the interior temperature of the DC/AC converter control unit rises above a defined limit value or if the output load exceeds the overload threshold of P = 160 W for t = 2 s, the DC/AC converter control unit switches off.
A calculation method stored in the DC/AC converter control unit prevents the converter from constantly switching between on and off when it gets close to the respective limit value.
If an undervoltage is detected in the energy management, the DC/ AC converter control unit is switched off and the power supply to the 115 V power outlet is interrupted.
