The following installation of the daytime running lights headlamps is described for a vehicle without charge air cooler. On vehicles with charge air cooler the daytime running lights headlamps are installed in the same manner, but the front bumper is not to be removed.






1 Detach plastic trim (20) of cooler from brackets (arrows A) and lower by approx. 60 mm in the direction of the arrow (arrow B).
For vehicles without charge air cooler.






2 Coat point of threaded pin (23) on right daytime running lights headlamp (1.1) with color.
3 Mark point of threaded pin (24) on left daytime running lights headlamp (1.2) with color.






4 Position right daytime running lights headlamp (1.1) and left daytime running lights headlamp (1.2) on the upper cross strut (21.1) of the vent grille (21) on the front bumper (22) and press on, so that the color on the threaded pin is transferred to the vent grille (21) and the markings (arrows C) are created.
The outer bar (arrow D) of the right daytime running lights headlamp (1.1) and the left daytime running lights headlamp (1.2) must fit flush into the upper and lower area of the front bumper (22).






5 Make a second marking (arrow D) on the vent grille (21) on the left side of the vehicle corresponding to dimension (E).
The distance between the first marking (arrow C) and the second marking (arrow D) is 45 mm.






6 Make holes corresponding to the previously made markings (arrows C and E) with a diameter of 10 mm on the vent grille (21) of the bumper.

7 Align right daytime running lights headlamp (1.1) and left daytime running lights headlamp (1.2) over the holes made on the vent grille (21).
While subsequently mounting the right daytime running lights headlamp (1.1) and the left daytime running lights headlamp (1.2), the catch hook (arrow F) in the vent grille (21) must latch into place.






8 Route wiring harness (25) for left daytime running lights headlamp through the outer hole on the vent grille (21) and mount left daytime running lights headlamp.
9 Route wiring harness (25) for right daytime running lights headlamp through the vent grille (21) and mount right daytime running lights headlamp.
10 Bolt on right daytime running lights headlamp and left daytime running lights headlamp using nuts (26) and washers from parts kit.






11 Route wiring harness (25) for right daytime running lights headlamp, as shown, between the rubber seal of the plastic trim (20) on the cooler and the vent grille (21).






12 Fit blue line (bl) of wiring harness (25) in each case into slot "1" of both black 2-pin contact carriers (27) included in the parts kit.
13 Fit black line (sw) of wiring harness (25) in each case into slot "2" of the black 2-pin contact carrier (27) included in the parts kit.
14 Fit sealings (27.1) onto both black 2-pin contact carriers (27).
15 Fit locks (27.2) onto both black 2-pin contact carriers (27).






16 Slide plastic trim (20) upwards in direction of arrow (arrow B) and clip into the brackets (arrows A).
For vehicles without charge air cooler.
