GF80.20-P-3009CW Locking/Unlocking Vehicle With Inside Switch, Function
GF80.20-P-3009CW Locking/unlocking Vehicle With Inside Switch, Function
General function requirements
^ Vehicle must not be locked from outside with transmitter key (A8/1)
Partial functions, general
The central locking (CL) can be operated with the left front door central locking interior actuation switch (S85/5) and right front door central locking interior actuation switch (S85/6).
The function locking/unlocking vehicle with interior switch comprises the following partial functions:
^ Function sequence for locking/unlocking CL
^ Function sequence for unlocking trunk lid (opening) model 204.0)
Function sequence for locking/unlocking CL
Actuation of the left front door central locking interior actuation switch is read in by the left front door control unit (N69/1), actuation of the right front door central locking interior actuation switch is read in by the right front door control unit (N69/2) and is relayed to the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73) with interior CAN. The electronic ignition switch control unit transmits the corresponding request with interior CAN to the:
- Front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
- Rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
- Left front door control unit
- Right front door control unit
They unlock and lock the following components:
- Left front door lock (A85)
- Right front door lock (A85/1)
- Left rear door lock (A85/3)
- Right rear door lock (A85/4)
Opening the trunk lid or the tailgate is enabled or inhibited by the trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8) (on model 204.0) or the tailgate external operation switch (S88/8) (on model 204.2) by the rear SAM control unit.
When locking with the central locking interior actuation switch, the tank cap remains always unlocked.
Enabled locking functions depending on door status:
Driver door open:
- All doors except the driver door and the trunk lid or the tailgate are locked.
Driver or passenger door open:
- Locking with the left front door central locking interior actuation switch is inhibited
Opening a door from the inside when the CL is locked:
Basically each door can be opened from the inside (except on vehicles for Great Britain with active additional door lock or when the mechanical child safety lock on the front door (without code (494) USA version) is activated). At least the corresponding door is opened mechanically.
If the vehicle was unlocked globally before locking, the CL is actuated centrally.
National version:
On vehicles for Great Britain, the left front rear door lock is actuated by the left rear door control unit (N69/3) and the right front rear door lock is actuated by the right rear door control unit (N69/4).
Additional function requirements for unlocking trunk lid (opening)
^ Speed v < 3 km/h
Function sequence for unlocking trunk lid (opening)
The unlocking trunk lid (opening) function comprises the following partial functions:
^ Function sequence for opening with trunk lid release button (S15/1)
^ Function sequence for opening with trunk lid emergency opening switch (S88/10) (with code (494) USA version)
Function sequence for opening with trunk lid release button
Actuation of the trunk lid release button for t ≥ 0.5 s is read in discretely by the left front door control unit and relayed to the rear SAM control unit with interior CAN.
It then unlocks the rotary tumbler of the trunk lid with the trunk lid central locking motor (M14/7).
The trunk lid is opened up to the upper stop by spring force.
Function sequence for opening with trunk lid emergency opening switch
This function is always activated (regardless of the CL status), because it allows the trunk lid to be opened by a person trapped in the trunk.
The trunk lid emergency opening switch is located on the inside of the trunk lid and is read in by the rear SAM control unit. When the trunk lid emergency opening switch is actuated, the rear SAM control unit actuates the trunk lid central locking motor to unlock the rotary tumbler. The trunk lid is opened up to the upper stop by spring force.
