SI91.60-P-0017B Service Information Bulletin: Return Delivery Of Restraint Systems Control Unit


The procedure described in the following is currently only valid the USA, Italian, Spanish, Great Britain and French markets.

With immediate effect for a further improvement in product quality, after replacing the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) the damaged part should be returned with a warranty parts return slip and the initial quick test report.

The restraint systems control unit (N2/7) may only be replaced if:

1. in the fault memory internal control unit faults with the fault text "restraint system control unit defect" are entered.
2. After processing the external fault memory entries by corresponding test steps the restraint system control unit cannot be brought into a faultless condition.
