GF32.32-P-1010CW Adaptive Damping System Control Unit, Component Description
GF32.32-P-1010CW Adaptive damping system control unit, component description
- with CODE (483) ADVANCED AGILITY package
Component Identification:
Location
The adaptive damping system control unit is located below the foot plate in the front passenger footwell.
Task
The adaptive damping system control unit is a subscriber to the chassis CAN (CAN-E) and ensures that the shock absorbers are continuously adjusted. The damping is adapted individually for each wheel according to the road surface condition and driving style.
The following sensors are read directly:
^ Left rear level sensor (B22/7)
^ Left front level sensor (B22/8)
^ Right front level sensor (B22/9)
^ Right rear level sensor (B22/10)
^ Left front body lateral acceleration sensor (B24/3)
^ Right front body acceleration sensor (B24/4)
^ Left rear body lateral acceleration sensor (B24/5)
Other direct inputs:
^ Circuit 30
^ Circuit 31
The adaptive damping system control unit receives information from the following control units via the chassis CAN:
^ Electronic Stability Program control unit (N3014)
^ Instrument cluster (A1)
^ Front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
^ CDI control unit (N3/9) (on diesel engines) or ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/19) (on gasoline engines)
^ Steering column module control unit (N80)
Discrete outputs:
^ Left front axle damping valve unit (Y51)
^ Right front axle damping valve unit (Y52)
^ Left rear axle damping valve unit (Y53)
^ Right rear axle damping valve unit (Y54)
