1 Media interface wiring harness
N125/1 Media interface control unit
X18/70 Media interface connector






1 Remove bolts (14) and place fuse box of right instrument panel (F1/6) with electrical lines connected to one side.






2 Open glove box lid.
Only conduct operation steps 3 and 4 on vehicles in which the Walkman connecting point (X39/45) is installed.

3 Unclip Walkman connecting point (X39/45) from the rear through the opening (arrow A) in the instrument panel from the glove box and remove to the rear.
4 Wrap felt tape around the Walkman connecting point (X39/45) and fasten to vehicle wiring harness using a cable tie.
Fasten the Walkman connecting point (X39/45) such that clattering noise is not generated.






5 Remove cover (15) from glove box.
On vehicles in which cover (15) is installed.






6 Route media interface connector (X18/70) of media interface wiring harness (1) through opening in glove box from front.
7 Clip media interface connector (X18/70) into glove box.
The catch hooks (arrows B) must engage properly in the glove box.






8 Route media interface wiring harness (1) behind instrument panel into front passenger footwell (arrow C).
Route media interface wiring harness (1) so that the installation of the fuse box of the right instrument panel (F1/6) is not obstructed.






9 Route media interface wiring harness (1) to media interface control unit (N125/1) as shown.
10 Connect black 30-pin coupling (1.1) of media interface wiring harness (1) to media interface control unit (N125/1).
11 Form a loop with excess length of media interface wiring harness (1) and fix in place using cable tie at vehicle wiring harness (16).
Ensure the greatest possible distance between the media interface wiring harness (1) and the interior prefuse box (F32/4).
