- with CODE (275c) Electrically adjustable driver seat, steering column and outside mirrors with memory
- with CODE (242b) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory
- as of 1.6.04
Component Identification:
Function requirements
^ circuit 15 ON
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ Reverse gear engaged for longer than 0,6 s
^ Right mirror adjustment switch (S1s5) actuated
^ No manual mirror lens adjustment or memory request activated
^ Function activated in instrument cluster (A1)
^ Potentiometer for position sensing supplied valid values
Function
If the right door control module (N69/2) receives the CAN-B (CAN-B) message "Reverse gear engaged", the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) moved to the park position stored in the transmitter key.
On vehicles with transmission 716 the gear signal is transmitted to the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) by the back-up lamp switch (S16/2). The front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) relays the reverse gear signal to the right door control module (N69/2) via the to the CAN-B bus (CAN-B).
On vehicles with transmission 722 the reverse gear signal is relayed to the EIS control module (N73) by the electronic selector lever module control module (N15/5) via CAN-C (CAN-C).
The EIS control module (N73) transmits the reverse gear signal to the right door control module (N69/2) via the CAN-B bus (CAN-B)
The right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) is automatically moved to the original position if:
^ the reverse gear signal is not recognized after 10 s or
^ the speed signal > 10 km/h or
^ the left mirror adjustment switch (S1s4) is actuated
It is also returned to the original position when the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) is adjusted manually to the park position via the exterior light switch (S1).If the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) is in the park position when c. 15 is switched off, it is returned to the original position after 10 s when c. 15 is switched back on and the transmission is no longer in reverse gear.If the reverse gear is recognized with c. 15 ON, the park position associated with the corresponding remote control is actuated after 0.6 s.
Store park position
Function requirements
^ C. 15 ON or c. 15R ON
^ Valid storage block number recognized
First adjust the desired park position of the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) manually via the outside mirror raise/lower, in/out rocker switch (S1s6) on the exterior light switch (S1)
The park position is stored by the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2t.
When memory switch (S91/2s9) is pressed momentarily and the right mirror adjustment switch (S1s5) is actuated within 3s the momentary outside mirror position is stored as park position The storage request is transmitted to the left door control module (N69/1) via the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) and from there relayed to the right door control module (N69/2) to the CAN-B (CAN-B).The position and storage data are stored in the right door control module (N69/2).
