GF54.50-P-2009QA Average Speed, Function

GF54.50-P-2009QA Average Speed, Function
- with CODE (245) Trip computer

Average speed "Since start" (short-distance memory), function
Average speed since engine start

Average speed "Since reset" (long-distance memory), function
Average speed since the last reset

The "as of starting" and "as of reset" display screen for the average speed can be activated via the system selection buttons (S110s3) and scroll forwards and backwards buttons (S110s1) of the multifunction steering wheel.

The following information is required:
^ Travel time; is calculated internally in the instrument cluster (A1).
^ Travel distance; is determined by the 4 wheel speeds. The wheel rpm reach the instrument cluster as an engine compartment CAN message from the ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5) (A1).

It is completely normal for the "SINCE START" display (short-distance memory) and "SINCE RESET" display (long-distance memory) to show different values, since the two displays are based on different sets of data. The"as of starting" display (short distance memory) basically responds more accurately to the current driving situation than the "as of reset" display (long distance memory).
