DANGER!
Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

1 Disconnect ground lead of battery
2 Move mirror glass (1) at top toward rear.
3 Unhook retaining spring (2)
4 Release mirror glass and remove.

NOTE:
Installation: First insert arresting lug (3) of mirror glass (1) into glass adjustment drive

5 Disconnect mirror heater connector (4)
6.1 Disconnect mirror dimming connector.
- With code (249b) mirror dimming
7 Install in the reverse order
8 Clean mirror glass on both sides.
9 Perform basic programming
10 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
11 Check for proper function
