AZ88.00-P-0001-03PA Converting Rear Bumper

Do not damage paint.
1. Install center chrome molding (2), left chrome molding (3) and right chrome molding (4) in rear bumper paneling (1).
First install center chrome molding (2) and then side chrome moldings.
2. Check arrest of chrome strips on inside of rear bumper paneling (1), if necessary press again (see arrow).
3. Insert tow hook cover (6) into rear bumper paneling and hook in check strap (7)

4.1. Install rear bumper antenna (A2/31) removed from standard bumper in rear bumper paneling (1) with three clips (10).
5. Insert left and right mounting rails (11) into rear bumper paneling (1).
The mounting rails (11) cannot be mixed up.They are shape-coded.
6. Arrest lateral supports (12) on left and right in mounting rails (11) (see arrow in center picture).
7. Fasten mounting rails (11) in rear bumper paneling (1) with expansion rivets (18) on left and right.
8. Insert rear bracket (19) in reinforcement (20) on left and right.
The rear brackets (19) are coded by bores in the sides.The bores should coincide with the bores in the reinforcements (20).
9. Fasten rear bracket (19) at top on reinforcement (20) with expansion rivet (18).
10. Fasten rear bracket (19) at top on reinforcement (20) with blind rivet (13).

11.1. Install cable holder (22) in rear bumper paneling (1).

12.1. Insert PTS wiring harness (9) removed from standard bumper in rear bumper paneling (1) and fasten in specified brackets (see markings).

13.1. Insert rear bumper PTS sensor units (A43) removed from standard bumper in brackets of rear bumper paneling (1).
Before inserting sensors, check decoupling rings, replace if damaged.
14. Install center rear inner section (23) on rear bumper paneling.
When positioning center rear inner section (23) ensure that fitted stay is centered precisely on rear bumper paneling (see arrow).
Ensure that center rear inner section (23) arrests properly.
15. Install gaskets (21) (4 each) on threaded studs on rear bracket.
16. Slide left and right bracket (24) into bracket on rear bumper paneling (1) and arrest.
Ensure that retainer (see arrow) is arrested properly.
17. Clean contact surface (15) for paneling lower section on rear bumper paneling (1).
The area to be glued on the rear bumper paneling (1) must be free of dust and grease. To clean use a 50 : 50 mixture of IPA (iso-propanol alcohol) and water.
18. Position paneling lower section (16) on bottom edge (see arrow), glue in to embossment and press on firmly over entire surface.
