Operating procedure
Actuation of the tailgate remote opening switch (S15) is read in by the left front door control module (N69/1) If the function of this switch is enabled, the left front door control module (N69/1), sends the command to open the tailgate via the CAN interior compartment bus to the tailgate closing control module (N121/1).

Actuation of the trunk lid exterior external operation switch (S88/8) is read in by the tailgate control module (N111) If the function of this switch is enabled, the tailgate control module (N111) sends a command to open the tailgate via the CAN interior compartment bus to the tailgate closing control module (N121/1).

The tailgate closing control module (N121/1) starts the tailgate hydraulic pump (M51/1).

The tailgate hydraulic pump (M51/1) runs filling the hydraulic cylinder with oil and opening the tailgate to the end stop over an articulated hinge.

When the tailgate reaches the end position the trunk lid/tailgate opening angle recognition sensor (B24/16) is actuated and a signal sent to the tailgate closing control module (N121/1)

If the tailgate remote opening switch (S15) or the tailgate closing switch (S62/36) are actuated during the opening procedure, the tailgate remains in its current position.

Limitation of opening position
