GF77.20-P-2022TA Tilting/Sliding Roof Rain Closing , Function

GF77.20-P-2022TA Tilting/Sliding Roof Rain Closing, Function
- with CODE (414a) Glass electric tilting/sliding roof
- except CODE (491) U.S. version

Function requirements
^ Vehicle locked
^ Tilting/sliding roof opened in sliding roof position

Function
Tilting/sliding roof rain closing is actuated as follows:
^ Moistening of windshield is recognized by rain/light sensor (B38/2)
^ 12 h after the vehicle was locked last
^ The voltage or temperature for rain/light sensor (B38/2) is no longer within the operating range.

If the tilting/sliding roof is in the opening sliding roof position when the vehicle is locked, the rain/light sensor (B38/2) is activated by the overhead control panel control module

(N70) after 30 for rain closing.
If the rain/light sensor (B38/2) recognizes rain on the windshield during monitoring, it wakes up the overhead control panel control module (N70).
The overhead control panel control module (N70) transmits the command "Close tilting/sliding roof when raining" to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) via the passenger compartment CAN bus and activates the tilting/sliding roof to move to the tilting position. Then monitoring is no longer performed.

The rain closing function can be coded in the overhead control panel control module (N70) with the DAS as of 21.03.2003 (programmed).

Function abort
The excessive force limitation is also effective during rain closing and reverses the direction of the tilting/sliding roof

When the excessive force limitation is actuated, the rain/light sensor (B38/2) is no longer monitored.
