Engine Compartment
- Leakage - Major components
Check for chafe markes, line routing, damaged components
In the event of leakage, determine cause and perform repair via separate work order.
- Check condition of poly-V-belt.
- Check catch, safety catch and hinges of engine hood for proper operation.
- Drain fuel filter (Engine 642)
- Check the following fluid levels, correct if necessary
- If there is a loss of fluid, determine cause and perform repair with separate work order.
Brake system
Power steering
Windshield washer system, incl. rear window washer (where applicable)
Wheels, brakes
- Inspect tires for damage and splits, measure tread depth
- Check thickness of brake pads, front and rear
- Correct tire inflation pressure.
Interior
- Reset service indicator in instrument cluster
Function check
- Check parking brake (function test only)
- Warning/indicator lamps, illumination and interior lighting
- Windshield wipers, windshield washer system, headlamp cleaning system, where applicable: rear window wiper, rear window washer system,
- Check seat belts and buckles for signs of external damage and function
Underside of vehicle
Leakage - Major components

- Check front axle joints for play, check rubber boots
- Inspect condition of flexible discs
- Inspect play of tie rod and drag link joints, inspect rubber boots
Trunk
- Check battery condition using "Midtronics MCR 717" Tester.
- Battery, check and correct fluid level
- Check TIREFIT sealant expiration date (wagons with third row seat only)
- Check trunk lighting
Vehicle front/rear
- Check wiper blade condition
- Check, correct headlamp setting
