Location
The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) is located on a bracket in the luggage compartment on the left side wall behind the paneling.

Task
The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) is designed (equipped) for mobile TV reception of analog and digital TV stations that are close to the ground in different countries.

Design
The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) consists of the following components:
^ 4-fold antenna diversity, separated into video and audio signals
^ 3 reception modules for video/sound signals
^ Multinorm receiver
^ Multinorm signal processing
^ 4 antenna inputs

Function
The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) is controlled via the COMAND controller unit (A40/3) and can, on model 221 with code 864) Rear entertainment system, additionally be operated and controlled via the audio/video controller control unit (N66/3). The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) is fitted with a Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) interface and communicates via this optical data bus with the other MOST components. In addition, the TV combination tuner (analog/digital) is equipped with an interface to the telematics CAN to be able to transmit the video signals to the COMAND display (A40/8).
