GF91.60-P-2007R Rollover process function
Rollover process
In the event of a rollover, the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) evaluates the data of the following components:
^ Rollover sensor (integrated in restraint systems control unit)
^ Left sidebag sensor (A53)
^ Right sidebag sensor (A54)
^ Driver-side frontal acceleration sensor (B48/1)
^ Passenger-side frontal acceleration sensor (B48/2)
The following information is also evaluated for recording the situation in the vehicle interior:
Left front seat belt buckle status
If the left front seat belt buckle restraint systems switch (S68/3) registers that a belt latch is not inserted into the seat belt buckle, then the left front emergency tensioning retractor unit is not actuated.
Right front seat belt buckle status
If the right front seat belt buckle restraint systems switch (S68/4) registers that a belt latch is not inserted into the seat belt buckle, then the right front emergency tensioning retractor unit is not actuated.
The following squibs of the corresponding restraint devices can be actuated in the event of a rollover:
^ Driver ETR [GUS] squib (R12/1)
^ Passenger ETR squib (R12/2)
Automatic emergency call (for code (494) USA version)
Following a rollover an automatic emergency call is transmitted. The emergency call is sent by the following control unit:
^ up to 30.6.04: E-call control unit (A35/8) (for code (349) E Call emergency call system)
^ from 1.7.04: Emergency call system control unit (N123/4) (for code (359) TELE AID emergency call system)
