B - Service Schedule



B - Service
First B Service at 20,000 miles or 2 years, then every 20,000 miles or 2 years.

Interior
- Reset maintenance counter in instrument cluster.
- Replace combination filter. (SL-Class)

Function Check:
Warning/indicator lamps, illumination and interior lighting.
Audible warning system. (SL-Class)
Check Electro-hydraulic brake system hydraulic unit (SL-Class)
Windshield wiper, windshield washer system, headlamp cleaning system.
Check seat belts for damage and proper function.
Check parking brake (function test only)
Horn, high beam flasher, hazard warning flashers, turn signals.

Underside of Vehicle
- Leakage - Major components.
Check for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components.
In the event of leakage, determine cause and perform repair via separate work order.
- Check condition of front axle ball joints and rubber boots.
- Check condition of steering's mechanical components and rubber boots.

Wheels, Brakes
- Check thinkness of brake pads, front and rear.
- Check tires for damage and condition.
- Measure and record tread depth.
- Correct tire inflation pressure.

Vehicle Front/Rear
- Check and correct headlamp setting.
- Check wiper blade condition.

Trunk
- Check battery condition using "Midtronics MCR 717" Tester. (SL-Class)
- Check trunk lighting
- Check TIREFIT tire sealant expiration date (CLK63 AMG)

Engine Compartment
- Leakage - Major components.
Check for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components.
In the event of leakage, determine cause and perform repair via separate work order.

- Engine oil and filter change.
- Check catch, safety catch and hinges of engine hood for proper operation.
- Check condition of poly-V-belt.
- Replace dust filter (CLK-Class)

Check the following fluid levels, correct if necessary.
Engine cooling system, antifreeze and corrosion protection main circuit. (Engine 275)
Brake system.
Power steering.
Active Body Control
Windshield washer system.
Battery, check and correct fluid level
Check battery condition using "Midtronics MCR 717" Tester.
