GF80.20-P-4013R Central Locking Emergency Opening, Function

The emergency opening function unlocks the doors of the vehicle after an accident.
A crash sensor is integrated into the PSE control unit (combined) (A37). The emergency opening function is activated when the vehicle decelerates at a rate of more than 6 g.

After a waiting time of approx. 8 to 11 s, the PSE control unit unlocks the doors and the trunk lid of the vehicle by actuating the corresponding pneumatic actuators.

Moreover, the remote trunk lid external operation switch (S15) on the driver doors and the trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8) are enabled.

The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is not deactivated.
The emergency opening function overrides all other central locking functions.
