Component Identification:

Function prerequisites
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage
^ Circuit 15R or circuit 15 ON
^ Position measurement supplies valid value

Functions
The left electrically adjustable and headed outside mirror (M21/1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) can be adjusted
^ manually via the outside mirror switch (N72s7) in the lower control panel control module (N72) or
^ automatically via the left seat adjustment switch group (S91/2)

Manual adjustment
The selection of the left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) or right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) is accomplished via the left or right outside mirror adjustment switch (N72s8).

The following settings are possible with the outside mirror adjustment switch (N72s7):
^ Mirror lens adjustment horizontally
^ Mirror lens adjustment vertically

Automatic adjustment with memory
The stored positions are called by pressing switch for memory location 1 (S91/2s6), switch for memory location 2 (S91/2s7) or switch for memory location 3 (S91/2s8). The switch for memory location 1 (S91/2s6), switch for memory location 2 (S91/2s7) or switch for memory location 3 (S91/2s8) must be pressed until the mirror has moved to the stored position.

The left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) are moved to the last driving position in relation to the transmitter key when circuit 15 C is switched on.

Operating procedure
The adjustment message is read in by the lower control panel control module (N72) and transmitted to the left door control module (N69/1) and to the right door control module (N69/2) via CAN class B bus. When adjusting automatically the adjustment message is transmitted directly to the left door control module (N69/1) and right door control module (N69/2) by the left seat adjustment switch group (S91/2).

The left door control module (N69/1) then actuates the mirror adjustment up and down motor and the mirror adjustment in/out motor in the left electrically adjustable and headed outside mirror (M21/1).
The right door control module (N69/2) then actuates the mirror adjustment up and down motor and the mirror adjustment in/out motor in the left electrically adjustable and headed outside mirror (M21/2).
