AR18.10-P-2140-02R Rivet oil pump chain

























1 Connect new oil pump chain (2) and old oil pump chain (1) with assembly clip-type fastener (3)
2 Slowly rotate crankshaft in direction of rotation of engine (arrow) until it is possible to connect the ends of the new oil pump chain (2).
3 Unhinge old oil pump chain (1) and place to the side.





4 Connect the ends of the new oil pump chain (2) with a new riveted link (4).
The assembly link (3) is only an aid for assembly and is not suitable for engine operation.





5 Place guide piece with the digit F2 into them rivet press tool (arrow) and fix with bolt





6 Place moveable thrust piece (7) with the digit D5 into the rivet press tool (5).





7 Place outer plate (8) into the thrust piece with the digit D5.
The outer plate (8) is held by a magnet.





8 Fit on riveting tool (5) so that the spacer webs (arrow) are resting on the rollers of the riveted link.
9 Tighten spindle at rivet press tool (5) until a firm resistance is felt.
10 When screwing in the spindle, ensure that the pins of the riveted link move into the holes of the outer plate. 10 Take off riveting tool (5).





11 Turn thrust piece (7) with the digit D50nto rivet profile (arrow).





12 Position rivet press tool (5) in such a way, that the pin is placed exactly in the center of the V-type support (arrow). m Rivet pins of the riveted link individually.
13 Screw in spindle further. m The tightening torque at theme spindle (6) is approximately 30 to 35 Nm (reference value).
14 Take off riveting tool (5).





15 Check riveting (arrows) of pins, re-rivet if necessary.
