The data for average fuel consumption, travel time and distance are stored separately in the short-distance memory and long- distance memory.
Another display shows the tank content and the estimated travel range together.
When the trip computer is called up, the most recent display appears.
The trip computer is integrated in the instrument cluster (A1). The display appears on the left multifunction display (A1p13) and right multifunction display (A1p15) in the instrument cluster (A1).
The contents of the short-distance memory are shown in the "SINCE START" display and the contents of the long-distance memory are shown in the "SINCE RESET" display.

Operation
The trip computer functions are operated via the multifunction steering wheel and the Reset button on the instrument cluster (A1).
The instrument cluster (A1) receives all the information required for the functions of the trip computer over the CAN. Further details can be found in the documents listed in the table below.
The following functions are provided by the trip computer:
^ Display and calculate the estimated travel range
^ Display the fuel tank content
^ Display and calculate the average fuel consumption
^ Display the distance traveled
^ Display the travel time
