GF80.20-P-0005R Central Locking (CL), Function

General
The central locking (CL) includes locking and unlocking vehicle doors, trunk lid, interior stowage compartments and fuel filler flap. Locking and unlocking is accomplished via pneumatic actuators supplied with pressure by the PSE control unit (combined) (A37).

Operation
The central locking system can be operated in various manners:
^ With the transmitter key (A8/1)
^ Close with interior CL open switch (S6/5s2) and interior CL close switch and ATA function display (S6/5s3)
^ By opening a vehicle door from inside

Automatic functions
^ Automatic locking
- Speed-dependent locking and
- Relocking

^ Emergency opening after crash recognition

The CL cannot be operated with the mechanical key Only the driver door and the trunk lid can be unlocked with the mechanical key.

The anti-theft alarm (ATA) triggers an alarm when opening.
